I have chosen to go to Tuckers Truck Driving Academy, LLC. to help me to begin a new career. I'm hoping to learn new things that will help me obtain my Class A CDL and become a safe truck driver. My over all goal is to be hired by a respectable trucking firm.

I work with a major plumbing firm in Madison, WI. I needed my Class A CDL to drive the equipment that my company has. My boss searched for a reputable truck driving school and found Tuckers Truck Driving Academy.
Mel came to our location and gave an orientation about the program.

Mel has over 20 years experience and it shows in his instruction. You won't find that at any other school. The small class size is great! It makes learning how to drive more relaxed and personalized. Also, the cost of TTDA is more affordable than other schools. You are taught by a real trucker and that's what I liked about it the most!

I take pride instructing my students. This gentleman thought he could drive a big rig. He could! But, he needed to be prepared for obtaining his Class A CDL. He needed to know how to pre-trip, air brake and inspect a container according to the rules and regulations of the FMSCA and the State of Wisconsin. He attended classes in the mornings and went to work in the afternoons. He did it! He worked his ass off! He studied and got his Class A CDL. I am proud to be his instructor. Great job Jim! I had a great time and learned a lot at Tucker's Truck Driving Academy! Mel Tucker's knowledge of the practical side of the trucking industry and the fundamentals that are necessary to start a career as a professional commercial vehicle operator are based on over a million miles safe operation, time management and vehicle knowledge. Mr. tucker has an ability to explain in a straight forward way the parts of a tractor trailer combination you need to pay close attention to on a daily basis, and not just at the beginning and the end of your shift, but throughout your day has really opened my eyes as to what a safe operator means. Also, his experience as to which parts have a tendency to wear, break, come loose or get damaged throughout any given day is invaluable. This is exactly the kind of training I was looking for when I decided I wanted to become a full time commercial truck driver.
Thank you for everything you have taught me Mel, I'll use those lessons everyday in my career and I hope that I'll be able to say after a million miles, "No Accidents!", just like on our eraser board in the classroom

I decided on a career change and becoming a Class A CDL truck driver was my choice. After comparing schools I decided on Tuckers Truck Driving Academy and here are the reason why:

When looking for a school, I would have never thought that I would end up at an academy with an instructor that made you feel like family. What a day Mel what a day. To be honest with you I'm glad you were my instructor and taught me to be safe. The weather in Illinois and Indiana was horrible thick wet freezing fog. Made it everywhere safe though. Was in Cayuga Indiana Paris Illinois now tomorrow I'm driving to Lexington Kentucky for a couple days. Man does it feel good. And when I was hitting them gears so smooth today all I kept hearing was your voice saying ☺️treat her like a lady work her like a b. And you telling me. You're going to be a trucker some day. Tucker's Truck Driving Academy has to offer the best classroom training out there. The book doesn't get thrown at you, the entire class sits and learns the book together and even learning things that's not in the book. Mel is such a fun and understanding person to be around. He won't give up on you, even when you want to give up on yourself. You can truly change your life when you obtain your Class A CDL.
Mel will help you get there. But, you have to do the work. You have to want this! It will not fall into your lap.

Attending and completing TTDA Milwaukee has been one of the best career decision I have made. The class is very detailed and progressive.
